Michele Bachmann announced today that she will not be running for re-election in 2014. In her parting video she stated that she will “continue to fight to protect innocent human life, traditional marriage, family values, religious liberty, and academic excellence” and “over the next 18 months I will continue to work 100-hour weeks.”

In her defense, she had to spend a lot of time fund-raising, dodging questions about her ill-fated?presidential campaign, and complaining about gay marriage in Minnesota. ?If she is putting in that much time now, how will she ever keep busy when she leaves office?
