Pastor And Youth Counselor Molests Boys To Un-Gay Them

In recent news, youth pastor Brent Girouex is able to walk free from a sentence that would have given him 17 years in prison. The reason? He advocated for something called “raping the gay away.” He would have sex with young boys, praying all the while to “keep them straight,” and he would then get them to ejaculate which would rid them of their “impure” thoughts, thereby “curing” their homosexuality.

Even though there were underage boys who were targeted by this thirty-one year old man, he will not serve any time in prison. The reason for that is because he has agreed to seek counseling and has been put on probation. These boys were victimized and used for a perverse pleasure by this man, and he walks free. He even has bi monthly visitation rights to his children! Where is the justice in this?!

This is utterly disgusting and horrible that this man did this and then hid it behind his “calling.”? He raped boys who were underage because he sought to “cure” them of something that is not even wrong with them. And it was not for his own pleasure, because rape is never about that. It was about power, pure and simple. And, to make it worse, he hid behind a doctrine that is about love and compassion. There is no love and compassion in what he did!

In the Old Testament, there are laws granting rights to fathers to sell their daughters into slavery and that women are to marry their rapists. However, with these laws, they were laws that were set up in a patriarchal society to set them apart from the other tribes around them. They also were not divine laws, but social laws for the Israelites. Later on, in the New Testament, those were cast aside because of the New Covenant that Jesus fulfilled when he died on the cross as the Messiah. (This is how it is supposed to work for Christians- I am giving background info so that it is understood that there is no way that rape is ever advocated, especially in today’s society.)

With the New Covenant that came about, love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, and kindness are to be shown to all people and all occupants of this planet because of the change that was brought about. This youth pastor hid behind godliness and used his position of authority to prey upon innocent young boys. This is not the covenant of love and of Christ. There is never any excuse for harming a child in such a way and all this does is cause broken hearts, faith, and spirits. All this has done has caused more harm and it will take so much love and time to repair. Brent Girouex used a false, harmful doctrine to hurt boys, to take their innocence and to shatter their faith. There is no goodness in his decision to do so, only evil in what he has done. This was never about God but about the power that Brent sought to ease something within himself, as it always is. There was always one consistent message in the Gospels concerning children that Jesus said and I shall leave you with these words as food for thought.

But whoever shall occasion the fall of one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for him to have a milestone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

(Matthew 18:6)

?And everyone who shall subvert one of these little ones who believe in me, it were better for him if a millstone of a donkey were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea.”

(Mark 9:42)

He said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to him through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause any of these little ones to stumble.”

(Luke 17:1-2)
