Fukushima Proves ‘House Of Cards’ Is More Truth Than Fiction (VIDEO)

The success of Netflix’s ‘House Of Cards’ (HOC) is partly due, we are told, to cynicism. Just Google, or Bing, “house of cards cynical” and you will be taken to a page of stories telling us that HOC tells us more about our negative beliefs towards politicians than “the reality.” But does it?

Get a peek for yourself with the trailer here:

Many viewers find the glee with which Democrats “reform” education in the first season of the show completely believable: Gutting unions standardized testing, more charter schools, etc and the lack of any real push back or comment from all the progressive writers now telling us the show is too cynical? If they really want to criticize the show then convince us that Dems would never throw teachers under the bus. Which they can do right after they justify NAFTA, The Korean Free Trade Pact, TPP, Keystone XL, Welfare Reform, the Defense of Marriage Act, repeal of Glass Steagall, repeal of media consolidation rules, etc. ALL of which were brought to us by Democratic administrations. All of which destroyed the very “Great Society” the Dems keep asking us to thank them for with our votes. So HOC is not cynical. No one is surprised that a sociopathic Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) type could get elected from the Democratic side. The surprise is what the alleged “non-crazy” ones have done.

Chris Matthews did a segment on his show recently where he outlined how the Dems could LOSE ten seats in the Senate this year!

Watch here:

How is it even possible that the idea of any Republican victories could be taken seriously after that party has obstructed NOT this President but this economy? Obstructed you and me and OUR recovery. The Republican Party has offered no ideas about policy. They have gone along with and supported the “American Austerity,” which we call “sequester,” which is causing the same kind of damage to us as it has in Europe. How is it possible that they could win? Because Democrats have not offered a competing vision, a new New Deal of any real importance. They say they have one but don’t use what powers they do have to present that vision to the American people. FDR went and campaigned against Republican House and Senate members who obstructed him. President Obama goes on the road and tells voters, “I’ll work with anybody you elect.” Which is a lie because he knows that even if HE is sincere about working with the other party they will not work with him. The “anybody” line also makes it seem as if the D’s and R’s are basically the same. So why not vote for the person appealing to your baser instincts rather than the one asking you to think?

This is planned failure. If no party has enough votes to do anything they can keep blaming each other for doing nothing, raising tons of cash, stealing our tax dollars for their friends and family while telling us there isn’t enough for basic services, and pick your issue of choice that isn’t being addressed and add it to this list. ?HOC isn’t cynical because Rep Frank Underwood is crazy. HOC is cynical because it is just assumed the Dems will cave on the Republican side of every issue. Like the Affordable Care Act which is a bad plan designed by The Heritage Foundation to put more money in private pockets rather than into health care.

All of which brings us to Fukushima (FU).

Last time I checked California, Oregon, and Washington were mostly blue states. Seattle even has a Socialist sitting on the city council! So you’d think with SIX “blue” Senators and a total of forty-eight Democratic House members from those states you would think FU would be big news. ?Hearings, public town halls, any kind of action? What are we getting? Not just crickets. The EPA is getting ready to raise the amount of “acceptable” radiation we can be exposed to. Not because any new science has said so, no. The amount is being raised simply because we are being exposed to more radiation! ?Here is what is being proposed:

  • A nearly 1000-fold increase for exposure to strontium-90;
  • A 3000 to 100,000-fold hike for exposure to iodine-131; and
  • An almost 25,000 rise for exposure to radioactive nickel-63.

The new radiation guidelines would also allow long-term cleanup thresholds thousands of times more lax than anything the EPA has ever judged safe in the past.

On top of this the numbers we do get from the EPA about radiation exposure come not from the EPA, not from a University, no. They get their numbers from a privately owned company run from a sad looking office in?Albuquerque, NM. This company, Environmental Dimensions, Inc. is run by?Patricia S. Bradshaw, former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense appointed by George Bush.

Japan recently sent back pistachio nuts to the US because they were contaminated with radiation! For those who may have short attention spans Fukushima (FU) is in Japan!

Which brings us back to Rep Frank Underwood and HOC. Yes Frank kills people sometimes. Mostly, usually, just to help his career. What career advantage do Barbra Boxer (CA), Jeff Merkley (OR), and Patty Murray (Boeing) get by potentially killing tens (hundreds) of thousands of their constituents? House of Cards isn’t cynical. It’s too kind. Frank would be impressed with the utter disregard for human life these Democratic House and Senate members are showing. Compared to them he’s still just a minor league Southern politician.
