When it comes to identifying with one’s own body, guys got it easy. Just one quick un-zip, and men can wiggle their weenies for all the world to see, including they themselves, of course. Ladies don’t have it so easy, though.
A woman’s genitalia can remain hidden in its delicate and recessed location, those personal privates kept privately tucked away in a place that even a female herself can’t see, unless she actually tries. And many women don’t try to view their vaginae, for reasons ranging from physical difficulty to emotional embarrassment ? and also because of traumatic experiences they’ve encountered, such as sexual abuse, unfortunately.
A recently released (and very safe to view) video shows that personal introduction to their privates can be therapeutic for women, though. YouTube personality Davey Wavey, a gay fitness trainer, recently helped a few women introduce themselves to themselves, let’s say, and for the very first time, recording their experiences in a charming ? even heartwarming ? video he calls ?Women See Their Vaginas For First Time.?
First you hear the personal and even painful reasons these brave women gave for never bothering to look at their own genitalia:
I don’t have eyes on the bottom of my stomach.
I wanted to be a nun.
I’m afraid it’s going to be ugly.
The first guy that went down there told me it was hideous.
I was raped.
Next, as the women get a close-up look at their vaginas with a magnifying mirror (while standing inside a private ?Vagina Booth?), you get to see the almost magical, rejuvenating reception they have. You get to listen to their very pleased responses, too:
O-kay! Hellooo!
Whoa!
Aww!
It looks a lot more innocent than I imagined.
Apple turnovers! That’s what it looks like.
She looks really happy!
The experience was quite therapeutic to some of the ladies, too, as they made evident in their responses:
I don’t know what I was freaking out about.
I think learning more about my body is definitely going to help me.
It makes me feel so much better about myself ? holy sh–!
In his YouTube posting of the video, Wavey offers sincere gratitude:
A special thanks to the brave women who participated in this video. Sharing their stories and being a part of this project took a lot of courage.
Given their recorded responses, it looks like the participating women were grateful for the opportunity themselves!
