Anonymous Apologizes For Previous Mistake, Releases IRC Chat Log With Another Alleged Shooter Name

UPDATE: The Anonymous account that reported the name and photo of alleged Michael Brown shooter has been deactivated by Twitter. I’ve updated this article to replace Tweets with screenshots of the Tweets. @opferguson says that @TheAnonMessage made a mistake in releasing the name of Bryan Willman as the shooter. @opferguson says that Bryan Willman is NOT the name that they have as the shooter. A newly released IRC chat log reveals a different man’s name. We can not confirm that this is correct at this time. We’ll update this as more news comes in. See the @opferguson apology below.

We reported earlier that hacktivist group Anonymous revealed the name of the police officer who allegedly shot unarmed teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri last Friday. They’ve now, as promised/threatened, released a photo of the officer. According to Anonymous, this is a photo of?officer Bryan P. Willman, who allegedly shot brown.

Anonymous claims that they will next reveal Willman’s address and other documents if the Ferguson Police Department doesn’t respond. They have also revealed that they have a video of Michael Brown’s body being shoved into the back of a police department SUV.
