Seven Frightening Real-Life Stories To Put You In The Halloween Mood


These stories are scary and will definitely put you in the Halloween mood. However, these tales are the scariest because they are not merely folk legends or horror movies, they are real.?

1. A Man In The Doorway by “momsaysimpretty”

A daughter and mother wake to see their cat gone, which is strange because she usually cuddles with them in their bed all night. They look and see a man standing in the doorway, leaving. There were no signs of forced entry but the mother insist that she locked the door the night prior. A week later, the mother opened their water heater closet and found a notebook containing names and drawing and some gloves; he had been staying there and waited until they were asleep to leave.

2. Insane Lady Found Their House by “RupUpToHortons”

A mother had been helping a lady for work. The children and family discovered that the lady’s sister was mentally ill. The girl telling the story had ?two friends who got a knock on their door one night and thought it was their mother, but it was not. It was the mentally ill sister! She had discovered where they lived. The lady ended up murdering the girl’s friend a week from Christmas. She decapitated the young girl and left her in a bathtub. It took some time to find the head.

3. Last Visit by “Trachtas”

A sister and brother took case of an elderly neighbor’s dog as she fell sick and was at the hospital. One night, the sister was in the living room of the lady’s house and her brother was in the shed with the dog. The sister heard the door creak and a woman’s voice call out for the dog. Nobody was there. Her brother also heard a woman’s voice in the shed. They decided to leave convinced that the place was haunted. When they got home, their dad told them that the neighbor had passed away a couple of hours ago.

4. What Made Him Leave In Such A Rush by “samissleman17”

A man decided to investigate an abandoned house. He found interesting stuff in the basement including WW2 stuff, and Elvis poster and a grand piano. There was also a broken wedding picture frame and a bunch of instruments. On the main floor, there was an unmade bed, molded food, half-empty beers and lights still on. The guy started going upstairs when all of a sudden, he heard crying coming from one of the side rooms! He jetted out of there.

5. Bad Premonition by “Adddicus”

A man’s ex-wife used to have a lot of premonitions. One day, she called to tell the man to call his friend Danny and make sure his family is ok. She couldn’t remember her dream but that he needed to call and check on them. He calls and Danny tells him that they are ok and to thank the wife for wanting to check on them. Within thirty minutes after?his call to Danny, he got a call from his uncle saying that Danny’s son had committed suicide.

6. ?What’s in the Trunk? by “persepolisp”

A child rode his bike out into a car one day. The car honked very loud and the kid stupidly flicked them off. Then the car came to a sudden halt. This big man stepped out and went to open his trunk when a female (possibly his girlfriend) stepped out of the passengers side and was crying and screaming! The child never found out what was in that trunk.


7. Creepy Old People by “eddieswiss”

A young sister and brother were playing outside when they were approached by an elderly couple. They lived near an old cemetery so tourists and visitors weren’t that unusual. But the couple kept bothering the sister asking for her name. The kids got very scared and ran. The week after, they found out that the very same couple had approached a young girl, kidnapped and raped her.
