Mihaela Noroc, a Romanian photographer, wants to challenge the standards of beauty. She wants to show that women from all?ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds?are gorgeous.
Noroc?started??The Atlas of Beauty,? a project?for which?she travels to different countries and photographs women in an organic setting. The women are in their natural settings and embraced by their culture. The photography project wants to end society’s?belief that only one appearance or type of woman is beautiful.?As Noroc states:?
?Global trends make us look and behave the same, but we are all beautiful because we are different. In the end, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the beholder is always somebody else. My goal is to continue and take photos of women from each country of the globe, making ?The Atlas Of Beauty? a mirror of our diverse societies and an inspiration for people that try to remain authentic. While a woman’s look shouldn’t be a reflection on her identity or represent her value, the celebration of diversity is great.”

It is wonderful to see the diversity of women around the world with these photographs. It is a reminder, as well, that the world is greater than our own corner or country of it. People come in a range of colors and sizes, which makes the human race unique and beautiful.
In communicating with the photographer, Noroc?says she is interested in continuing her project. As with all things, that costs money. If you are interested in supporting more beautiful photographs from this very talented artist, please consider contributing here.
