Quack, Quack, Quack: Woman Claims She Can ‘Cure’ Autism With Bleach Enemas

One in 68 children now suffer from some form of autism, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). And the parents of the children who have this disorder are naturally eager to both find the cause of autism and how to best treat it. Which is where quacks selling bogus cures come into the picture.

One such person is Kerri Rivera, who is from Chicago but has moved to Mexico so she can continue her “treatments” for those with autism. Her treatment? Bleach enemas, which medical experts say could be dangerous to anyone who undergoes such therapy.

But Ms. Rivera, eager to make money off the suffering of others, blames those who criticize her of being “haters” and “trolls.” Keep in mind, this woman has no medical training, and her so-called “cure” was formulated by Jim Humble. Who is Jim Humble? He’s a former Scientologist who claims he can heal by touch. In other words, if it quacks like a quack out to line his pockets, it’s not a duck, it’s a quack.

A real medical professional,?Dr. Sharon Hirsch, section chief of child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals, remarks:

?Right now there is no cure for autism. There is nothing we can do at this time to get rid of autism ? it’s a horrible disorder.?

But that hasn’t stopped Ms. Rivera from continuing her bleach enemas, which she also claims have healed 170 children?with her “miracle mineral solution.” The contents of this solution include?sodium chloride and citric acid. These are mixed to form chlorine dioxide. And that, in turn, is what Rivera says flushes the system of the parasites which cause autism. No medical proof of that, either, and Rivera scoffs at those who say bleach is harmful to children:

?If, in fact, chlorine dioxide were this toxic poisonous bleach ? there would be a sea of dead children.?How can this be bad if people are healing and nobody’s dying??

Rivera is convinced that?autism is caused by yeast, parasites, viruses, and vaccines that can be purged from the body through diet and regular bleach enemas. She adds:

?Autism is treatable, it’s avoidable, and I believe that it’s curable.?As the symptoms go away, the diagnosis fades as well.?

Keep in mind this self-described?biomedical consultant and homeopath has absolutely no proof of her specious claims, so just trust her when she says it works. And of course be sure to bring plenty of money with you if you go visit her in Mexico.

Quack, quack, quack!
