Conservative Christians Have Found A New Target

After losing the war against marriage equality Conservative Christians have chose a new target to attack, Progressive Christians.
This is the group they blasted for not upholding Christian beliefs against allowing gay marriage. Or the more likely reason is that Christian conservatives?refuse to let go off their archaic beliefs, something Progressives left in the dust years ago.

The first attack began in May and can you guess what state? Well it’s in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Eight Conservative churches launched a coalition and an attack campaign called “Progressive Christianity: Fact or Fiction?” It was teaching series and ad campaign all wrapped into one. The group released op-eds, half page advertisement and a massive banner with Progressive written in uneven and rough letters.

One of the letter to the editors written by pastor Tony Pierce said

?The progressives are at it again, and for a small fee you can join the primary proponent of this apostate religious movement to get answers,? Tony Pierce, a pastor of First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills and one of the participants in the effort, wrote in a letter to the editor. ?The good thing about the progressive movement is it gives people a clear choice. The ironic thing about progressive Christianity is that it is neither!?

It’s kind of funny that a pastor who claims to follow Gods word of treating everyone equally and that in his eyes we are truly equal feels the need to bash on others of his own religion just because they won’t subscribe to ignorant and archaic beliefs.

In fact Rev. David Felten, a left leaning priest in Fountain Hills was the benefactor of many of the call outs because he preached about scientific discovery and LGBT equality, two issues that christian conservatives?scoff at.

Felten, who has gotten used to harsh criticism for his teachings said this about the other churches,

“When you have an effort collaborated by multiple churches in one community to try to discredit one other way of thinking, that’s when it becomes alarming,??

It’s funny because many pastors preach that if we follow God, we shall be united and that we can overcome together. Yet, all of the Conservative churches are trying to sabotage one of their own.

And I can’t imagine a reasonable person twho would want to go to any of those churches that want their?people to be united with God and each other when they cause vast turmoil because they cannot accept any view besides their own. But that’s just the trend in Conservative Churches and their people.
