The Bible Absolutely CONDEMNS Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis’s Actions

Rowan County, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis is citing “a heaven or hell decision” to keep from issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Biblical principles. Here is her official statement:

“I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience.”

Interesting. But it seems her “obedience” doesn’t extend to following the law of the land, which absolutely is required by scripture.

Furthermore, she took an oath:

“I, Kim David, do swear that I will well and truly discharge the duties of the office of Rowan County Circuit Court clerk, according to the best of my skill and judgment, making the due entries and records of all orders, judgments, decrees, opinions and proceedings of the court, and carefully filing and preserving in my office all books and papers which come to my possession by virtue of my office; and that I will not knowingly or willingly commit any malfeasance of office, and will faithfully execute the duties of my office without favor, affection or partiality, so help me God.”

Here are some Bible verses that should concern Ms. Davis and the high profile buffoons who are supporting her.

Lady, you took an OATH.

And then there are her own four marriages. But she’s forgiven! Let’s all pray for Kim Davis’s soul, y’all. I think her “heaven or hell” decision is on the wrong side of history — and God.
