I have to admit, I have thought of calling a conservative radio talk show like the one Rush Limbaugh does just so I can let him know how I feel about the lies and bile being spilled out on a daily basis.
But consider instead how much fun it would be to prank call a Christian radio host and lead him on a wild goose chase without him knowing he’s being punk’d.
Perhaps the best call of this type was done by a 92-year-old Christian lady who goes by the name of “Melba Jackson.” Why do I place the name in quotation marks? You’ll see. For now, just go with it and enjoy the fun.
Dear old “Melba” calls and informs radio host Bob Larson that she recently took her family on to Disneyland, only to find out it was “Gay Day.” Oh no! The horror! Of course, there is no such day at Disneyland, but that doesn’t dissuade Larson from saying:
“Oh no! Oh no! You were there Melba?!”
Yes, “Melba” tells the host, and then adds what she saw while she was there:
“These people would kiss openly, you know and embrace, but if we gave them a funny look, they would say rude things to us. They were very hateful.”
As that wasn’t enough, this sweet little old lady reports that her grandson went off to explore the terrain and returned with a very “effeminate” friend who wore a triangle pin on clothes.
No, not the triangle pin! Larson:
“That’s the gay rights symbol! That gay boy was after your son!”
Then “Melba” informs Larson that the boy who returned with her grandson turned out to be the son of Disney executives. Larson replies he isn’t the least bit surprised by that fact because Disney executives are known to use their theme parks as a hunting ground for their gay sons to locate new sexual partners.
So who is “Melba?” Well, she is the creation of Russell Miles, who is also known as “Brother Russell.” And his website states:
“Russell Miles earned the unlikely nickname ‘Brother Russell’ after joining Dallas’s ‘Official Unauthorized Robert Tilton Fan Club’ in 1991. Two years later, in Austin, he started making creative crank phone calls to religious/conservative talk radio shows and recording them live right off the radio as they happened on air. The best of these subversive moments were then compiled and released on CD.”
If you want a good laugh today, just listen to this audio of “Melba” doing what she does best: Making faux Christians look like the jackasses they are.
“Melba” Gets Her Revenge!
