If you ever doubted that karma exists and will come back to bite you on the rump (or other places), consider the case of Donald Anthony Watson of South Dakota.
Watson is currently in custody and also in great pain. He was recently attempting to purchase a gun illegally (Watson is a convicted felon and thus cannot legally own a firearm) when he managed to shoot himself in the penis. Ouch!
This dimbulb was admitted to a local emergency room on the evening of September 6 for a gunshot wound. When questioned by police Watson claimed he had been shot during a botched robbery. And according to the police report Watson also said the alleged robbery had been perpetrated by “a black guy (who) tried to rob” him while he was taking out the trash at his apartment.
Sounds perfectly logical, huh? You go out to toss some trash in the dumpster and a guy tries to take your money. Happens all the time. Especially in…South Dakota?! Are you kidding me?
Investigators then went to Watson’s home and found absolutely no evidence of a shooting outside. However, neighbors told them they heard screaming coming from Watson’s apartment earlier in the evening.
The police obtained a search warrant, searched Watson’s home, and found blood, bullet fragments, and an empty gun case.
After further questioning, Watson admitted that he’d made the story up and was actually looking at a handgun he was thinking about buying. He placed said gun in his pocket and it fired, hitting him in the genitals. Again, ouch!!
Watson refused to tell police what happened to the gun, but he has been charged with of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a drug offender, and two counts of making false reports to law enforcement.
