Day by day, a clearer picture is beginning to emerge of Robert Dear, the man accused of killing three people at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado last week.

Dear’s ex-wife Barbara Mescher Michaux, who resides in South Carolina where Dear also once lived, told NBC News over 20 years ago the accused domestic terrorist put glue in the locks of a Planned Parenthood clinic near where the couple was then living.

At a court appearance yesterday, Dear was informed that he is being charged with first-degree murder. The judge also told Dear that if convicted he could face life without parole or the death penalty. Dear did not react to the charges when they were read to him.

The case of Robert Dear and his crimes in Colorado Springs have also reignited the debate over right-wing hate speech which may have influenced Dear to acquire an AK-47 and use the weapon to terrorize innocent people. The now-discredited videos released by the Center for Medical Progress CMP) may have served to stoke Dear’s rage. When he was arrested, Dear reportedly told authorities, “No more baby parts.” This is a direct reference to the videos CMP plastered all over the Internet and Fox News.

Yet here is the incongruity which I see repeatedly playing out among those on the right-wing in this country: If black or brown people hold a rally and it happens to lead to violence, suddenly this is due to hate speech on the left. But when the same happens among the lunatic fringe in the anti-choice crowd, it’s just a random, tragic incident.

Also, Fox News and their GOP counterparts love to slam President Obama for not calling ISIS and Al Qaeda “radical Islamic terrorists.” But those same right-wing hypocrites refuse to call what Robert Dear did domestic terrorism.

WTF is up with that?!
