Arson Victim Has Only One Wish: Christmas Cards

With all of the hatred spewing forth from the likes of Donald Trump and others, it is about time we heard something that might touch your heart.

Little Safyre has not led the easiest life so far. At age five, she was the only surviving member of her family when their house was set on fire. The fire was apparently deliberately set by someone on the stairwell that led to where the family lived.

Safyre only survived because she was in her father’s arms and that shielded her from inhaling the toxic smoke and hot air. Her three other siblings and her father all perished.

Safyre’s aunt became her legal guardian and her aunt, uncle, and their five children have stood by Safrye through over 50 surgeries. Safyre suffered burns on 75 percent of her body and unfortunately lost her left foot and right hand through complications from the burns.

However, Safyre’s aunt tells the Today Show that her 8 year old niece, “wakes every morning with a smile on her face. She is the true definition of hope, faith and love.” Despite all she has suffered, Safyre remains joyful for all the adventures that fill her life.

Recently, Safyre’s aunt brought home a Christmas tree-shaped card stand that she had purchased. Safyre told her that it was her one wish to fill the card stand with cards.

So yes, you know what’s coming: ya’ll, please help this little girl get her one wish for the holidays!
