Guy Unhappy With His Wanted Photo Sends Police A Selfie

Isn’t it annoying when people tag you on Facebook in an unflattering photo? Do you know what’s worse? When the police use an unflattering photo as your wanted picture.

A man in Ohio was so unhappy with the wanted photo the police used, he sent them a selfie to use instead. The photo used by the police was a mugshot of his from a previous charge several years back. The selfie he sent in was of him in a car wearing some trendy-looking shades and a sports jacket.

Donald “Chip” Pugh was wanted for failing to show up it in several cases related to arson and vandalism according to the Lima Police Department. The department posted this photo of Pugh on their social media:

Pugh clearly wasn’t happy with it, so sent in this selfie with a hilarious caption.

Lima police thanked him for his generosity but still said they “would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges.”

The fugitive even took time out from evading the police to do an interview with a radio station.

“Man, they just did me wrong,” Pugh said. “They put a picture out that made me look like I was a Thundercat … or James Brown on the run. I can’t do that.”

A “Free Chip Pugh” Facebook page featuring different memes and updates has received several likes. Even though there’s nothing to free him from just yet.

Pugh has since been brought into custody on the charges. He was arrested in Escambia County, Florida.

The original Facebook post put up by Lima Police was incredibly popular, garnering over 2,500 likes and 300 shares. Following Pugh’s arrest, Lima Police Department thanked social media for the help it provided in securing Pugh’s arrest.
