How do you want to be remembered? This is a question we all mull over at one point or the other in our lives. For David Bowie, that question was aptly answered. In his last photo-shoot to promote his album – Blackstar, David Bowie looked the part – black fedora hat, suit and wearing a confident, Grammy Award-winning smile.
Last pictured in public on December 7 at the opening for the musical, “Lazarus,” David is seen looking like a million bucks in this designer suit by Thom Browne.
When the photos were released, he stated on his website:
“That’s the message that I sent,” “Why is this man so happy? Is it because it‘s his 69th birthday or that he has released his 28th studio album today and it’s a corker? Who knows, but we’re sure you’ll want to join us in congratulating him on both. Many happy returns of the day to David Bowie and Blackstar.”
Whatever the reason, congratulations are in order first, to him and then for his album, “Blackstar.” We hope it’s a chartbuster.
David died in New York after battling cancer for 18 months. He died with love surrounding him as his family members were with him when he slipped into the beyond.
Rest in peace.
