Emotional Obama Gives Cutest Reason For Turning Down Speech

President Barack Obama has turned down a request to speak at his daughter Malia’s high school graduation for the cutest reason. He will be too busy crying.

He was overheard talking about his eldest’s graduation while enjoying lunch at the Jolly Pumpkin Brewery in Detroit and told his companions, “Malia’s school asked if I wanted to speak at commencement and I said no.”

He demonstrated how adorable he really is when he gave his reasons for turning the offer down. He stated:

“I’m going to be wearing dark glasses. I’m going to cry.”

President Obama stated he would be far too emotional to finish a speech if he were to be the commencement speaker and instead will just “cry and sit there” when he attends Malia’s graduation.

Malia is in her senior year of high school and will be graduating in a few months time. This is not the first time that President Obama has spoken out about how emotional he gets when it comes to his daughters growing up as he has previously stated that he cannot even talk about Malia leaving home for college because it makes him cry.

Once again he reminds everyone that he is human in the cutest way. He demonstrates he dotes on his children and experiences the same emotions as most parents do as they watch their children grow up and flee the nest.

Although the President becomes emotional at the thought of Malia leaving home he has offered her some valuable advice in terms of choosing a college.

He has told his eldest daughter to try not to “stress too much about having to get into one particular college,” as there are so many “good colleges and universities out there.”

President Obama also warned against choosing a college based solely on its brand and stated:

“Just because it’s not some name-brand, famous, fancy school doesn’t mean that you’re not going to get a great education there.”
