Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Just Won Trump’s Personal Feud — Without Lifting A Finger

Donald Trump just conceded losing his personal feud with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. In an interview with Steve Malzberg, Trump confirmed that he will be at the next Fox News Republican debate on March 3rd. Here’s the video.

From The Washington Post:

“I’ll be there. I have no objection to being there,” said Trump in an interview today with Steve Malzberg of NewsmaxTV. “That had nothing to do with Megyn Kelly, the fact that I went out of the last one. It had to do with a memo that was sent out by Fox that was a little bit taunting.” In any case, Trump expressed no regrets for having skipped out on the Jan. 28 affairs, saying that he held an event to benefit veterans that raised $6 million. “So I wouldn’t have changed places.”

And for the sake of history, that Fox News statement that Trump called “taunting”? That came only after Trump had been publicly blasting Kelly and musing aloud about whether he should skip the debate.”

Trump skipped the last Fox News debate on the eve of the Iowa caucus. Manyy believe, and even Trump confessed, that it may have cost him Iowa. He made it clear leading up to that debate that the reason he was boycotting was because Megyn Kelly was the moderator. However, Trump being a scholar in revisionist history gave another explanation.

In the interview with Malzberg, Trump claimed that the real reason he skipped the debate was because of Fox News’ “taunting” press release, and not because Megyn Kelly was the moderator.

One thing’s certain, Fox News can look forward to a highly rated debate because everybody will want to see how those two exchange on stage. And why not? After all, it’s not like there’s going to be a lot of substantive policy discussion going on at a Republican debate anyway right?

So I’m going to grab some popcorn and enjoy more moments like this.
