‘Just Keep Swimming!’ Finding Dory Movie To Hit Theaters Soon

Those of us who watched “Finding Nemo” as kids have been waiting a long time for “Finding Dory.” Or, at least I have.

Finding Nemo” came out in 2003. It follows the story of a young clown fish, Nemo, who is taken from his Great Barrier Reef home and put into a fish bowl in a dentist officel. His father, Marlon, teams up with the famous blue fish, Dory, to help Nemo escape from the dentist’s office at “P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney.” (You know you still remember that address!) Along the way he encounters sea turtles, whales, seagulls, pelicans, sharks, and other creatures.

In “Finding Dory,” the forgetful blue fish is hunting down her family and loved ones that she has forgotten. The movie is coming out on June 17; it takes place six months after the events of the first film at the California coast. Of course, Ellen Degeneres is returning as the voice of Dory. Albert Brooks came back for the voice of Marlin. There is a new actor playing the voice of Nemo, Hayden Rolence.

There are new characters showing up in this movie as well. Ty Burrell from Modern Family is doing the voice of new friend for Dory, a beluga whale name Bailey. Dory meets him at a marine life rehabilitation facility during her journey. There is also another whale named Destiny, voiced by Kaitlin Olson. She is a whale shark who has trouble swimming because she is not good at sonar. She plays a big role in helping Dory find her family. The characters are trying to find faith in themselves, which is the main message of the movie.
