Hot Mess: Trump, His Supporters, And What We’re Seeing

Trump’s election as president would be a very sad day for America. What he’s spewing at rallies, on political talk shows, and in general, is hate. It presents a conundrum, known as a hot mess.

We Cannot Afford To Let Trump Win

By “we,” I mean people with hearts. People who want to see things get better. Because there is nothing good coming of anything built on hate. You can’t run a presidential platform on hate. No! Voters who never voted before are urged to stay informed and vote! In a commentary published by The Root, political writer Lauren Victoria Burke said,

“Trump’s becoming president could be the final brick in the wall of a relentless effort to erase President Obama. His legitimacy. His policies. His achievements. Trump is here to ‘undo’ President Obama and ‘make America great again.'”

Burke adds,

“Trump is the personification of years of Southern strategy and Obama obstruction. He’s voicing out loud the racial resentments previously dog-whistled, knowing full well that it was the power of black and brown voters that put Obama in office.”

Trump Supporters Rallies

In 2016, it baffles the mind why any person of color would support a candidate using racism and blatant discrimination–to stir up a hot mess. I’ll say the same for white people following him. Why? That one is “escorted” from rallies while information gathering, in efforts to make an informed voting decision is–absolutely absurd. Physical and verbal assault from bullies is encouraged by Trump. It’s a bad, bad reenactment of the stadium wave. It’s also horribly sad. There has been banter across social media as to whether or not, Trump has the “legal” right to ban people in a public forum.

Post-Racial America And Trump: Hot Mess

The meaner and nastier people get, the more America loses. First, there is no such thing as post-racial America. Racism and racist people still exist. I fear that someone is going to be critically injured. Among the growing number of Trump supporters, some have to be wondering what they’ve gotten into. They can’t all be deranged racists who teach their kids to hate. Right?

Trump Supporters: A Quiet Bunch, Except At Rallies

I can’t find Trump supporters in my social media circles. I don’t see them when I’m out and about. I don’t know anyone who dons a Trump tee. Where are all the people who have (from what I’ve seen of Trump Rally footage) the ability to turn into savages taking part in mob activity.

Caught On Camera Vet Apologizes For Shoving Black Woman At Rally

Military.com reports that Alvin (Al) Bamberger, a 75-year-old veteran has apologized for pushing and shoving Shiya Nwanguma. The University of Louisville student who happens to be black attended the Trump rally last week in Louisville, Kentucky. Nwanguma wanted to become better informed on the candidates. Bamberger didn’t think she needed to be there. His apology is dismissed by his actions.

“I have embarrassed myself, my family, and Veterans,” he wrote. “This was a very unfortunate incident and it is my sincere hope that I can be forgiven for my actions.”

Trump Is Full Of Trump: Why That’s Dangerous

Trump is about the applause and being loud. He is anti just about everything. At the top of his list is Obama. Trump has lied repeatedly and so much, that it’s hard to know when the truth might slip through. He appeals to racists people, KKK sympathizers, and anyone down with white supremacy.

If you are: a person of color, queer, disabled, immigrant, poor, sick, or tired, too bad. Trump doesn’t want you on his team. Unless you are willing to sell your entire soul you and I both, are at risk of being escorted out when Trump bellows about, “Making America Great Again.”
