Pro-Trump Pastor To (Jewish) Bernie Sanders: Find Salvation And Embrace JESUS!

A pastor at a Trump rally in North Carolina said that Bernie Sanders needs to be “saved.” The televangelist, Mark Burns, said that Bernie needs to “meet Jesus.”

Sanders is Jewish, but he doesn’t really talk about his religion very much. The pastor doesn’t disagree with Sanders’ Judaism, but he said Sanders is not “a religious-minded individual.”

Burns said that Bernie needs to talk more about faith. Burns is the co-founder and CEO of the NOW Television Network. He is also one of Trump’s most prominent African American supporters. Even though he said he doesn’t mind Bernie being Jewish, he said Bernie needs to have a “come to Jesus meeting.”

Burns also criticized Bernie’s politics by saying that “we’re no longer a socialist country, we are a democratic country.”

Here is what Burns had to say about endorsing Trump:

“I don’t know who you’re speaking about, but trust me, when I tell you, I’m not an Uncle Tom, no coon, nobody’s been paid. I have not been offered a position. This is me looking at the politics, and looking at an individual, a strong leader that i believe that’s going to bridge and bring a strength back to America.

And in that room, there were pastors from all across the country, that were showing their support, many of them signed actual documents, endorsement cards, showing their support… this preposterous tone of offensive things that he said about Latinos in the meeting, it’s a fabrication.”

He also tweaked the “Black Lives Matter” slogan into “All lives matter.” None of the other candidates have been told to “come to Jesus.” But, if any of them did, Trump should. He misstates Bible verses a lot, and lies all the time.

Bernie did an interview with Rolling Stone and was asked if he believes in God, and here is his answer:

“Yeah, I do. I do. I’m not into organized religion. But I believe that what impacts you impacts me, that we are all united in one way or another. When children go hungry, I get impacted. When kids die because they can’t afford medicine, I get impacted. We are one world and one people. And that belief leads me to the conclusion that we just cannot turn our back on human suffering.”

Bernie’s religion really doesn’t determine how he will run the country. His ideas and policies are more important.
