No matter what your stance is on abortion, there’s generally one aspect that both sides of the platform agree on – adoption and foster parenting definitely needs a rework. With over 100,000 children waiting to be adopted, there are some people willing to adopt these kids and care for them like their own. Sadly, there are an equal number of unscrupulous parents – wishing to adopt – that are only in it for the money.
As one of the most popular reality shows on television, “What Would You Do?” with John Quinones continues to test the depths of humanity and compassion. In fact, its signature skits have received critical acclaim and positive reviews for exposing the ills of society – including selfishness, greediness, rudeness, and in some cases – outright racism and evil.
As part of a recent show, the WWYD team orchestrated a scenario where a foster Mom was treating her foster child in a rude and dismissive manner. She blatantly violated every rule of adoption, including treating foster kids like your own blood and family. This video brought a tear to many an eye, as the Mother favored her biological kid with shakes, burgers, and fries – all while the foster kid was salivating at the mouth – and was only allowed a plate of fries and a glass of water.
This skit drew the ire of many restaurant customers in attendance. So much so that John had to step in before the customers became unruly with the uncaring and ignorant mother:
While this video and social experiment was only a skit – there are countless instances of real-life foster parents favoring their own biological kids. Watching this video will not only restore your faith in humanity, it also brings to light the silent suffering or many adopted kids –that must settle for mental and social abuse – just to have a home. Sad, isn’t it?
