WATCH: MSNBC Rips Into DNC For ‘Rigging’ Primaries Against Bernie Sanders

Many progressives are fans of MSNBC, but cannot stomach the early news show “Morning Joe,” mainly because Joe Scarborough is an insufferable jackass who thinks he knows more than he does. Fact of the matter is, what Joe knows could fit into a thimble with room left over.

So it was odd to see “Morning Joe” tackle the issue of whether or not the DNC and media are somehow in cahoots to keep coverage of Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in check so that they can boost Hillary Clinton to the nomination.

This morning, during a 14-minute segment, Mika Brzezinski kicked the discussion off by commenting:

“What’s the story we’re missing here? I feel like every day we’re missing the Bernie Sanders story.”

One of the panelists noted that in February Sanders had raised $43 million compared to $30 million for Clinton, which prompted Scarborough to remark:

“How incredible, a traditional candidate (Clinton) has all the party machinery behind her. Has to raise money as politicians have had to do for 200 years, and yet…Bernie Sanders.”

Scarborough also said that while the Democratic party may have tried to rig the process so Clinton will appear to be the inevitable nominee, and that it has been largely done through the use of superdelegates:

“The Democratic party. And I know the Republican party wishes they rigged the process as well as the Democratic party did right now, because they could rig it against Trump — but the Democratic party rigs their process so that these superdelegates, which by the way can move any direction they want, actually skew the process and the reporting so badly that the voters actually don’t have their say when it comes to voting.”

And Brzezinski almost gushed with praise for what Sanders has accomplished so far:

“I think what’s interesting is that despite the sort of rigged process. Despite how the DNC has handled this — and we all know how — Bernie Sanders keeps exceeding expectations. Seemingly out of nowhere. This guy is an incredible story. Donald Trump, that makes sense, at least to me it makes sense, he’s a celebrity. Who was Bernie Sanders before this? He’s a cause. That’s cool.”

Lots of Democrats agree that’s it’s cool to Feel the Bern, and it remains to be seen if Hillary Clinton is as inevitable as the DNC hopes she is.
