Indiana Bar Owner Heroically Kicks Sexist Pig Out Of His Establishment

It’s hard to believe that discrimination against women is still a major problem in 2016, but it is. Luckily, some heroes fight against it like this bar owner in Indiana.

Jordan Gleason, the owner of Black Acre Brewing Company, decided to stand up for his harassed servers and ban a sexist pig from his bar permanently.

The man was allegedly verbally abusing and staring creepily at the staff, saying to their faces that he liked “looking at their t*ts while they washed dishes, and their asses while they were pouring drinks.” He also reported that the man had been banned originally in January but decided to keep coming back just to voice his opinion.

Gleason claimed the man told him he should face the washing sink away so he couldn’t see their breasts and should ban low cut shirts. He also claimed he apologized and should be allowed to drink their because he lives locally and will “bring in business.” Gleason said:

“I told him flatly that wasn’t happening, and that what he said to those ladies was incredibly offensive. The simple fact that he couldn’t understand that just because they were were working didn’t mean they deserve his disrespectful language. That these ladies were part of my family, and were human beings that deserved respect. They aren’t objects, and they certainly shouldn’t have to wear different clothes because he can’t be bothered with showing them any decency or respect. ‘But we’re men and they’re females. Is cleavage just not a thing anymore?’

“I told him yeah buddy, it’s not, and I won’t be changing my mind about having him served. He threatened bad publicity, I told him I didn’t care, and he left.”

Gleason continued to urge people to stand up for the women in their lives, claiming that they “deserve our respect and to be treated with decency.” Not everyone would turn down steady business just to take a moral stance against discrimination of women. He should be commended.
