South Dakota Forcing Abortion Providers To Give Women False Information

One of the biggest issues in the country right now is the fight for women’s reproductive rights. Republicans are fighting tooth and nail to chip away a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body. They have spread all kinds of lies about women’s health while passing many restrictions on abortions and other women’s healthcare needs.

South Dakota has just added another ridiculous restriction to the rest. The state now requires abortion providers to outright lie. This mid-western state has started requiring doctors to tell their patients that an abortion can be reversed. This is a false and potentially dangerous lie to be spreading. When you see a doctor, you expect to be able to trust their advice and for all medical staff to respect your privacy. These lawmakers with ZERO health experience should not be making these kinds of rules.

Arizona has also passed one of these laws in their state along with prohibiting women from buying abortion coverage on the health exchange. Luckily, it has been blocked pending federal rulings after some physicians started a lawsuit over it.

The laws claim that an abortion can be stopped if the woman doesn’t take the second pill of the two medicines that they use to end the pregnancy. This can actually cause major complications. Even if the women only take the first pill, the pregnancy could still be lost. It could also cause a lot of bleeding and may require a surgical procedure which would be unnecessary if the woman had just taken both of the pills.

There has also been a claim that abortion could increase the risk of breast cancer. This has been proven false. Also, it is perfectly safe to get pregnant later on if you’ve had an abortion.

Ladies, watch out what these lawmakers are saying. This idiocy just proves that these lawmakers don’t know what they’re talking about.
