WATCH: Woman Busted ON CAMERA Stealing Jewelry From Corpse At Funeral

An Odessa, Texas family is preparing to lay a loved one to rest tomorrow. News965 reports that a woman was caught on surveillance camera yesterday stealing from their deceased family member. It appears a ring was removed from the body as the woman lay in the casket. Authorities are currently looking for the woman shown in the tape.

Can’t Even Bury Loved One Without Foolishness

Stealing from a corpse is pretty low. My heart goes out to the family. They have been terribly disrespected. The focus should be on family and a nice funeral service. This woman who ever she is holding up the grief process and bringing undue stress to this family.

Have We Lost All Sense Of Decency?

The selfishness is almost too much to bear. I don’t have to know the family in order for my heart to go to them. Have we become so callous as a society that we have no respect at all left for others?

Was She Starving, Or Facing A Shut-Off?

When trying to wrap my head around this travesty I wondered what type of predicament would drive someone to be so desperate if not hateful. Was she starving with nowhere to turn for a meal? Did she need emergency cash to keep her lights on? Were her kids kicked out of daycare today because the bill hadn’t been paid?

There Is Protocol For What Stays In The Casket

I’ve heard tales of unscrupulous funeral homes that have questionable practices. When my parents were laid to rest they had full services with caskets even though they were cremated afterward. We were instructed to remove all jewelry before the casket was closed.

Family Heirloom Gone

The family in Odessa was straight out robbed. My heart goes out to them on so many levels. This is a case where I hope the person becomes so guilt-ridden that they return the stolen jewelry that may be reserved for a family member to be handed down. You just can’t take that last thing away from people and expect good karma.

I’ve calmed down while preparing this article in an effort to raise the vibration to something good. Now let’s hope the thief feels it and does the right thing.
