Sarah Palin To Debate Bill Nye On Climate Change (Sort Of)

Sarah Palin will face Bill Nye in a debate, according to some rumors.

It’s the debate of the century that could revolutionize our scientific understanding of climate change… or not.

If it were true, it would be like a debate between a flat-earth believer from the Bronze Age and a modern-day planetary scientist. Well, considering Sarah Palin’s lack of fact-based rhetoric and scientific acumen, it might as well be a debate between a voodoo doctor and an orthopedic surgeon on how to treat a fracture.

Sarah Palin would just be inventing statistics on the spot while dismissing scientific consensus about climate change as mere progressive liberal agenda. Her signature rambling and highly incoherent speech may drown the calm and factual arguments of Bill Nye.

It might be somewhat entertaining to see Palin’s proverbial brain oozing out from her ears but thankfully the debate will not happen.

Unlike last year’s much-publicized debate between creationist Ken Ham and Bill Nye, the latter will not be appearing in the ‘debate’ event but rather would just be featured in a video clip interview.

Palin will be part of a panel that will publicly review the recently released documentary titled “Climate Hustle.” The documentary film was released in hundreds of theatres all throughout the United States.

The film is a climate denial propaganda produced by Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow and Marc Morano’s ClimateDepot.com. The propaganda film claims to deconstruct the well-established scientific consensus about global warming as significantly influenced by anthropogenic activities, particularly burning fossil fuel.

Sarah Palin was quoted by the BipartisanReport saying:

“I’m very passionate about this issue. We’ve been told by fear-mongers that global warming is due to man’s activities and this presents strong arguments against that in a very relatable way.”

While many more moderate and rational Republicans have softened their stance on climate change, Sarah Palin remains to be one of the most rabid climate change deniers despite of her lack of scientific and reality-based knowledge about the issue.
