The West Virginia Primary is upon us and Hillary Clinton has been hitting the streets looking to sway some voters. Unfortunately, due to some remarks regarding the coal industry, Clinton may be fighting an uphill battle.

So with Bernie Sanders looking to close the gap between himself and Clinton, this comes as some good news. But it’s not just Clinton that has given the Sanders campaign hope, it’s his supporters.

While many have already crowned Clinton as the Democratic nominee, don’t tell his supporters that. As the site Heavy points out:

“Despite reports in the media, Sanders has said that he is not looking to be Hillary Clinton’s vice president right now because he is focusing on his campaign. Sanders has said that he is campaigning all the way to the Democratic convention and still plans to win the nomination himself.”

With that said, as of yesterday, May 9, his supporters showed that Clinton is not the only candidate in this race by turning out in the thousands (more than 21,000 actually) at Bonney Field in Sacramento, California.

They say that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Well here’s a few thousand for you from that rally.

While many hope that this will come down to a contested convention, there is no-telling what the future holds at this point. One thing is certain though, Sanders is not going away anytime soon. And that’s a good thing.

There’s no doubt that someone like Sanders is needed in today’s political climate. He seems to be the voice that so many Independents have been waiting for. With his basic message of giving the power back to the people, it seems that there is still some fight left in the Vermont Senator.

While many would argue otherwise, I still remain firm in my conviction to vote Blue no matter the candidate. I refuse to let the Republicans take the White House without a fight.

Make no mistake though, Clinton is not the only ticket in town.
