Cameron’s Office Denies Trump’s Claim That Trump Was Invited To The UK (VIDEO)

David Cameron’s office has denied Trump’s claim of being invited to the United Kindom.

Embarrassing, absurd, hateful and generally ill-thought statements seem to be naturally spewing out of Donald Trump’s mouth since he started his campaign. One of the recent embarrassing statements that Trump made was his premature claim that the British Prime Minister invited him to London for a visit.

David Cameron’s office denied the Trump’s claim in a press statement. The British Prime Minister’s office has this to say:

“It’s long-standing practice for the prime minister to meet with the Republican and Democrat presidential nominees if they visit the UK. Given the parties have yet to choose their nominees, there are no confirmed dates for this.”

It is possible that the presumptive GOP nominee is trying to project the prestige of being recognized by a world leader this early. It might also be possible that he received false information or he might have misinterpreted information.

Cameron has previously criticized Trump because of his xenophobic statements. The British leader even said that if Trump visits the UK, the whole country could unite against him. He said that the GOP frontrunner is divisive, stupid and wrong but he does not intend to ban Trump from setting foot on British soil.

The real estate mogul has also previously hinted that he might not have good diplomatic relationship with the British prime minister should he be elected as the next US president.

In one of Piers Morgan interviews, Trump said that he thinks that he will not have a very good relationship with Cameron. He referred to Cameron’s unwillingness to address the issue of Muslim immigration.

Trump responded to the UK prime minister’s criticism by saying that he is not stupid but actually the opposite of it. He also said that he is a unifier instead of being divisive.

The British prime minister did not invite Trump to go to London. It was the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, who invited him to meet the British Muslims. Khan is the first Muslim mayor of a Western capital city. He is also a critic of Trump.
