BREAKING: Michelle Obama’s Last Commencement Speech As First Lady Was Terrific! (VIDEO)

Earlier today, Michelle Obama delivered her final commencement speech as First Lady at New York’s City College, and it was terrific!

City College of New York was founded in 1847 and has long prided itself on educating immigrants, as well as a large number of students without the means to attend a private university.

Half of City College’s students are from low-income households, according to CBS New York, while 40 percent of are first-generation college students.

The college can proudly count 10 Nobel Prize winners among its alumni, the report notes.

Over 3,000 members of the Class of 2016 at the 169-year-old public college had the privilege to hear the First Lady’s speech, which addressed immigration and first-generation college attendance, among other things.

Ms. Obama told the students about her own working-class background, and how hard her father worked for her to be able to attend college.

She went on to praise City College’s diversity, telling the graduates they’re:

“Living, breathing proof that the American Dream endures in our time.”

The college’s President Lisa S. Coico presented the first lady with an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
