This Comic Adaptation Is The Best Trump Explanation Ever (VIDEO)

When it comes to the prospect of a President Trump, adaptation is the name of the game.

Last summer, when Donald Trump entered the clown car that has been the Republican nomination process, we all laughed and didn’t take it seriously. It was a publicity stunt, as far as we were concerned. There was no way this asshat was going to make it to winter, much less secure the Republican nomination.

Boy were we wrong. And we’re still scratching our heads as to how.

But we are all aware of what the implications of Trump’s candidacy are. We all know what kind of person will have the nuclear codes if Trump somehow manages to pull off a victory in November. We all know it’s going to take some serious adaptation to navigate through the hellscape four years of Trump will bring, whether it be contending with whatever asinine laws he tries to get passed or applying for refugee status in Canada.

We all know, but sometimes it’s hard to articulate. This is where Imgur user DrForester comes in.

DrForester has provided a perfect way to explain what Trump is and what he’ll likely be as a president. Using everyone’s favorite comic strip, Calvin and Hobbes, DrForester has created an easy-to-read guide to all things Trump.

The adaptation is as hilarious as it is telling. Donald Trump acts like a 6-year-old prone to irrational outburst, delusions of grandeur, and a desire to take over the world. DrForester’s comic adaptation is also eliciting praise and shares from the denizens of social media.

Donald and Hobbes makes simple something that is fairly difficult — explaining what this Trump thing is. I hate to say that politics in the United States is reflective of who is the biggest ass, but given Trump’s popularity it’s hard to say with a straight face that the presidential election process is something taken seriously out here.

After all, if recent swing state polls are any indication, a notable percentage of us are perfectly content putting into the Oval Office a man who so effortlessly can be superimposed into a comic strip about an irrational 6-year-old.

These strips are even better than trying to figure out whether certain quotes can be attributed to Trump or womanizing, cigar-smoking, alien-killing video game misogynist Duke Nukem.

Robert could go on about how he was raised by honey badgers in the Texas Hill Country, or how he was elected to the Texas state legislature as a 19-year-old wunderkind, or how he won 219 consecutive games of Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots against Hugh Grant, but those would be lies. However, Robert does hail from Lewisville, Texas, having been transplanted from Fort Worth at a young age. Robert is a college student and focuses his studies on philosophical dilemmas involving morality, which he feels makes him very qualified to write about politicians. Reading the Bible turned Robert into an atheist, a combative disposition toward greed turned him into a humanist, and the fact he has not lost a game of Madden football in over a decade means you can call him "Zeus." If you would like to be his friend, you can send him a Facebook request or follow his ramblings on Twitter. For additional content that may not make it to Liberal America, Robert's internet tavern, The Zephyr Lounge, is always open
