Right here is Los Angeles, we have this great pub called Nickel Bar. It just happens, they are using pictures of Caitlyn Jenner, both pre- and post-transition to let us know which restroom you may want to use. Wow, how fresh!
Obviously the photograph on the right is from Bruce Jenner’s Wheaties box cover. Guess what? It’s shellacked onto the door of the male restroom. It’s our guess you recognize the image on the left too … it’s Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover from a couple years ago. And that one graces the door of the ladies room.
When asked, this is what Nickel Bar’s consultant told Page Six:
“The reaction has mostly been lighthearted, but it’s definitely going to start conversations. It wasn’t intended to become derogatory as much as to recognize something that’s become culturally mimetic. We consider it a witty touch on a culturally relevant topic.”
