Donald Trump To Favor Massive Amnesty For Undocumented Immigrants (VIDEO)

In yet another cringe-worthy flip flop of policies, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is disavowing his previous primary campaign promise to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.

Many news sites are reporting that Trump plans to promise a fully legal status to millions of undocumented immigrants living and working in the United States.

Though the details remain sparse, Hispanic political leaders that met with Trump at Trump Tower in NYC last Saturday claim his new policy will look a lot like basic amnesty.

In layman’s terms, this means that undocumented immigrants can stay as long as they have a fairly clean criminal history and have managed to avoid immigration authorities for a period of time.

Jacob Monty, an immigration attorney from Texas, attended the meeting and said:

“Being eligible will require that people haven’t committed serious crimes or aren’t recently arrived.”

Another attendee present at the meeting said that Trump explained that he does not want to inconvenience illegal immigrants by forcing them to go back to their countries to gain the correct documents.

Could Trump Be Revealing His Secret Democratic Side?

Monty also added that the GOP candidate said:

“Trump acknowledged that there is a big problem with the 11 million people who are here, and that deporting them is neither possible nor humane.”

This is a huge turnaround from Trump’s original stance claiming that Mexican immigrants bring drugs and crime to the United States. He assumed that some were good people, but he also called them rapists and said they spread infectious diseases.

Now, Trump is saying that all illegal immigrants could live in the United States without the fear of being deported. He also apologized for generalizing Latin-American immigrants in his previous comments. If he becomes president, this new policy would have an impact on 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Many reporters and politicos are arguing that this change of heart ties back to Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign, whom Trump argued had lost the election based upon his hostility toward immigrants. He said:

“Republicans didn’t have anything going for them with respect to Latinos and with respect to Asians… He had a crazy policy of self-deportation which was maniacal… It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote.

Was There Ever Going To Be A Wall?

Here is a breakdown of Trump’s stance on immigration over the years:
  • 1999 – Trump told Meet The Press he thought too many people were flowing into the country.
  • 2011 – Trump tells Bill O’Reilly that immigration should be on a case-by-case basis.
  • 2012 – Argues that Romney lost the election for being too harsh on illegal immigrants.
  • Early 2015 – Wants to end birthright citizenship, build a wall, and triple the number of immigration enforcement officials.
  • July 2015 – Agrees to work something out if an immigrant has been “outstanding.”
  • 2016 – Trump’s mind is “to be determined” on illegal immigration according to Kellyanne Conway.

A Reuter’s analysis of Trump’s billion-dollar corporate grasp found that he has imported at least 1,100 foreign workers since 2000. Records also show that he has consistently hired low-skilled legal immigrants and low-paid illegal immigrants for various projects. Pay has been as low as $5 an hour.

It is not clear if his wife is one of these low-skilled legal immigrants or not.

Watch this space for Trump’s final decision on illegal immigration, though, don’t trust that he’ll stick to it!
