Is Trump Prepping? He Just Hired The Man That Orchestrated The Iraq War

In a strange move, Trump has hired former CIA chief James Woolsey as an adviser. Woolsey was a staunch advocate of the 2003 Iraq war, a war that Trump has famously said America should never have entered into.

Trump has been extremely vocal with regard to the ‘lies’ that were said about Weapons of Mass Destruction. Trump has said the Iraq war was a huge mistake based on lies, and he has said this over and over again.

So who does Trump hire to advise him? Of course, one of those very ‘liars’.

Trump said:

“All smart people know that the Iraq war was a huge mistake”

Why would Trump want Woolsey, a major advocate of this war, on his own campaign? Woolsey connected Saddam Hussein to the 9/11 attacks and suggested Hussein was hiding weapons of mass destruction. These weapons were never found and Blair has since apologized for the Iraq war.

Trump has made it clear he thinks that war was based on lies and stupidity, (even though initially he supported the war). It has been a big part of Trump’s rhetoric that the war was not a legitimate one. By hiring Woolsey, Trump is implying he must not want people he considers ‘smart’ or ‘honest’ at his side.

It seems both Woolsey and Trump consider each other’s stances on various things to be mistaken. Woolsey once spoke out against Trump’s all out ban on muslims calling it “a bad decision” and they have different views on climate change. It is curious to think about what kind of advice Woolsey has been hired to offer.

WATCH Trump attack the logic behind the Iraq war:

Trump thinks Woolsey was categorically wrong with regards to Iraq and Woolsey thinks Trump is categorically wrong with regard to immigration.

With all this disagreement on major issues, why wouldn’t they decide to work together?
