Celebrities React To The Debate And It Was MARVELOUS (TWEETS/VIDEO)

Well the first presidential debate is finally done. The commentary about the event has been mixed, depending on which side of politics you fall. The reaction on social media was huge, with many celebrities watching and commenting on the first live head-to-head debate between Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Comedians and entertainers alike came out strong, each with their 140 characters giving us all a good laugh.

Comedian, Sarah Silverman had a dig at Trump’s pronunciation and constant sniffling:

Others questioned whether Trump had a cold or if he had been snorting something. Andy, a producer from the Ellen show was only listening to the radio when he asked:

Minnie Driver put her view quite bluntly, backing Hillary and questioning his sanity with this tweet:

Many people are saying that nothing really new came out in the first debate, and that it was perhaps not that useful for swinging voters. Steve Martin found the advertisements to be more entertaining with this comment:

At the end of the debate, Trump appeared to lose it in response to his name calling of women. When Hillary called him out for calling women “pigs,” “slobs,” and “dogs,” Trump defended himself by saying Rosie O’Donnel was mean to him first, and that no one would feel sorry for her.

Hillary also mentioned a Miss Universe contestant Trump is supposed to have called “Miss Piggy.”

I mean seriously, are we in 5th grade?

Can you imagine any other president living or dead who would be so publicly disrespectful of women – or anyone? In response to the mentions of Trump’s “fat” insults, singer Bette Midler quipped:

One of my favorite tweets of the night definitely goes to Jerry Springer.  He makes a brilliant point here:-

Guess what? You can like The Apprentice and still know that Donald Trump should not be president of the free world. You can be successful in public, without entering public office.
