Rudy Giuliani Goes Batsh*t Crazy At A Finance Association Dinner (VIDEO)

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been causing quite a stir on and off the campaign trail of late. While stumping for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Giuliani has managed to, among other things, excuse republican marital infidelity (hypocritical), vilify Black Lives Matter as being racist (irony), and call President Obama a man who “doesn’t love America” (absurd).

Taking a break from stumping for Trump, an increasingly unhinged Giuliani was invited to speak at a decidedly non-political event, the Commercial Finance Association’s 40 Under 40 dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Bad idea.

Sources at the dinner told the Observer that Giuliani went in to full crazy Trump mode, and veered in to an offensive anti-immigration diatribe, prompting an emailed apology from Commercial Finance Association CEO, Bob Trojan to the attendees:

“At CFA’s 40 Under 40 Awards last Thursday night, keynote speaker Rudolph Giuliani veered sharply off course from the leadership message he agreed to deliver and presented unscripted personal opinions which were independent of CFA’s political position or core values. While we, the event organizers, made every attempt to direct Mr. Giuliani’s remarks ahead of time to focus on leadership, for which he is renowned and has authored a book, there is always the possibility of such a surprise at a live event.”

Mr. Trojan’s email continued:

“For those of you who were offended by Mr. Giuliani’s remarks, please accept my sincere apology.”

How sharply off course did he veer you ask? If some of the attendees’ accounts were accurate and if I were crazy Giuliani, I might be worried that the kitchen staff put a little something extra in my meal:

“Rudy talked about immigration and made a really, really inappropriate comment about the quote-unquote Mexicans in the kitchen at the Waldorf. It was bad. You could hear a pin drop. I think he was looking for applause.”

Another attendee seconded this account.

One can only assume that Giuliani is used to getting laughs when he makes racist jokes in front of the deplorables at a Trump rally. But this was not a Trump rally.
