BREAKING: Trump’s Top Nation Security Advisor FREEZES On Live TV (VIDEO)

CNN’s Kate Bolduan and John Berman have had their hands full in the past few weeks. As the campaign of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump breaks down into tiny pieces, more and more of his surrogates have been freaking out on the air.

Just this morning, Trump’s top National Security advisor, James Wolsey, appeared on the “At This Hour” show. Wolsey is a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

The hosts of the news show asked Wolsey to weigh in on the campaign’s strategy to deal with the horrific civil war in Syria.

They asked this because last night in the second presidential debate, Donald Trump disagreed with statements made by his running mate. This has of course led to a great deal of confusion about what, if anything, the Trump campaign actually believes would be a good policy for Syria.

Mike Pence was asked about Syria in the vice presidential debate. He said that he believes the U.S. must be ready to use military force against military targets in Syria. He said that we need to be prepared to use force to attack Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, who has been murdering civilians by the thousands.

During last night’s debate, Donald Trump was asked about the same issue. When Mike Pence’s own words were read to him, Trump said this:

“He and I haven’t spoken, and he and I disagree.”

That is news worthy. The Trump campaign clearly has no idea of what it is doing, if the situation in Syria is something that the top of the ticket has not even discussed.

To make matter even more murky, when James Wolsey came on the show and was asked about the official position, he refused to answer.

He flatly refused to give an official position for the campaign, even though he is theoretically the top advisor for national security. When the hosts attempted to get him to simply express his own idea, he once again refused to answer them.

Wolsey repeatedly turned the question back on the two candidates. He would not express an official position, and would not state his own opinion.

Bolduan and Burman tried their best, in spite of very visible frustration on their parts. They pushed the former CIA official, stating that he should at least have an opinion on the use of force in Syria.

Wolsey remained stiff and almost angry. He steadfastly refused to say a word.

Holy God.

A presidential campaign that cannot even state a clear policy on one of the most dangerous situations in the world? You can’t make this stuff up.
