Things are now going so badly for the Trump campaign that even Fox News has given up on the GOP ticket. And that was evident Wednesday night when Mike Pence paid a visit to The O’Reilly Factor and was told that he and his running mate are headed for disaster on November 8.
O’Reilly began the interview by asking if the Trump team had any strategy for convincing women to vote for the Republicans:
“You’re going to lose the election if you can’t convince more American women to vote for you.”
Pence’s tepid reply was more than a bit pathetic:
“Well, I think the strategy is just the message, Bill.”
The Vice Presidential candidate then attempted to pivot to the issue of immigration, but O’Reilly brought him back to the massive gender gap in the race:
“The Access Hollywood thing didn’t help you. So in the last four weeks of the campaign, are you going to make a special effort to get more women on board? It seems like you’re not.”
To that, Pence predicted:
“I think we’re going to win the election, Bill.”
No, Mikey, you aren’t. Matter of fact, you and Cheeto Head are on pace to lose by one of the largest margins in American history. But keep on drinking that Trumpian Kool Aid and see just how much it sullies your already damaged reputation (does signing a discriminatory anti-LGBT bill ring any bells, Governor?) as you try to see yourself as the front-runner for 2020.
