The relevance and historical significance of President Obama’s eight-year stay as our President touch on everything from same-sex marriage, The Paris Agreement, and economic crisis. We have stood in awe at the poise and composure of our First Lady and the love that she and the President have shared in the White House.

However, with as many amazing things as we could discuss about the accomplishments of the First Family, this is meant to touch on the class, glamour, and historical representation that the President, First Lady, and designer Michael Smith succeeded in representing in the First Family living quarters.

The living quarters profoundly reflect the accomplishments and class of the Obama family and can be seen as a magical mixture of history and progression with a modern flair. Speaking of Smith and their home, Mrs. Obama stated:

“Because of Michael Smith, the private residence of the White House has not only reflected our taste but also upheld the proud history of this building. Above all, it has truly felt like a home for our family.”
