The news of Melania’s illegal actions come forward just days before Election Day and go against both Melania’s well-rehearsed speeches about coming to this country and her husband, Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s own hard pressed immigration stance. More than once Donald Trump has made sure to let everyone know it is prohibited by law to pay an illegal immigrant to work in this country.

Melania Trump received her green card in March of 2001 and became a citizen of the U.S. in 2006. Time after time throughout this election season Mrs. Trump has told the media that she obtained her citizenship legally and never violated the terms of her immigration status.

Mrs. Trump, who sometimes worked under just Melania, arrived from Slovenia on a visitor visa August 27, 1996, but did not receive legal rights to work in this country until October 18th of the same year. However, the new ledgers show that Melania was paid for ten modeling assignments between September and October 10th, meaning Melania was working illegally in our country.

This information isn’t likely to affect her current status as an American citizen, but it speaks volumes for the hypocrisy of her and her husband’s campaign for the White House. Melania recently made her first speech in months talking about her career and choice to come to America; she stated:

“As a young entrepreneur, I wanted to follow my dream to a place where freedom and opportunity were in abundance. So of course, I came here.Living and working in America was a true blessing, but I wanted something more. I wanted to be an American.”

The documents were reviewed by Mrs. Trump’s prior attorney who revealed that from what he sees the reports definitely point to work done before Melania’s work visa was approved. With Trump’s firm stand on immigration, we wonder if he will deport his own wife too.
