Seems The Simpsons did have that coveted time machine after all. We all know they predicted the political rise of Donald Trump 16 years ago. So on Sunday, they took the metaphysical, dialed it up a few more notches and truly trumped the night.
This entire election cycle, the show has dedicated an intense amount of time trashing Trump. They lampooned his lameness like only The Simpsons can. But last night, it was time to get real … in a very surreal way. Right on target, the show’s opening credits had Bart Simpson doing lines on a chalkboard, where the message of the day was “being right sucks.”

In the episode “Bart to the Future,” it’s predicted Lisa Simpson, Bart’s little sister, will become America’s “first straight female president.” Seems President Simpson will be the successor of the Trump years. A hellscape where the oceans dried up, America’s budget was fully blown, and “a generation of ultra-strong super-criminals” are on the loose wreaking all kinds of havoc.
Dan Greaney, who wrote the episode, spoke about it earlier this year. He said his “vision of America going insane” was meant to be a tale of caution.
