WATCH: John Oliver Serenades Trump And The Year With A Big ‘F**k You 2016’

We had the final episode of 2016 for Last Week Tonight last night on HBO and John Oliver went out with a bang! Like most of us, Oliver is trying to digest how America could elect Donald Trump as President of the United States. Not only does John Oliver have some choice words for Trump, but he also has some choice words for 2016!

To start his show, Oliver talked about the election and how we allowed Trump to win over former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. He said instead of allowing our daughters to feel like they could be anything, America showed that:

“…No grandpa is too racist to become the leader of the free world.”

While there has been a lot of talk of the Electoral College and Clinton winning the popular vote, Oliver did say he would accept Trump winning the Electoral College. He noted:

Many people are happy to see him in office. Some are voters who think he’ll bring jobs back and shake up Washington. Others are happy simply because he isn’t Hillary Clinton. And others, of course, are Vladimir Putin and Scott Baio.”

The two big questions from John Oliver were:

How the f— did we get here, and what the f— do we do now?”

Many people are asking those same questions right now, but Oliver goes on to explain in the video. We need to stay here and we need to fight. We need to remember that this happened and make changes so it does not happen again.

Oliver summed it up best, as he blamed it on 2016:

Even though this year still has seven weeks left, I’m calling it early: 2016 was the f—ing worst.”

We have seen some terrible things happen during 2016, some big-named celebrities pass away, and it all ended with a Trump victory.

He calls on everyday people to explain how terrible 2016 was for them and even calls on some celebrities to help out in the video. Those celebrities include Amy Schumer, Larry Wilmore, Larry David, Nick Offermanand Megan Mullally.
