LISTEN: Rep. Peter King Says College Students Are ‘Morons’ For Anti-Trump Protests

The results of the 2016 election does not sit well with many people, which is why many anti-Trump protests have started up across the country. Protests are a way of speaking up against the hate that has come out of the Trump campaign all election season. However, it appears that Rep. Steve King (R-N.Y.) does not appreciate the protests and called college students “morons” for participating in them.

King went on the LI in the AM radio show and told host Jay Oliver:

“These college students, I find it incredible. I don’t know what would happen if a real war ever came. Are these the morons we’re counting on to be leaders in the future? Come on, have some guts. Have some nerve. Get out there. We’re supposed to be a great country.”

Is your blood boiling yet? King went on to make fun of college campuses for the accommodations they have made for students since Trump’s win. King said:

“You think back to the greatest generation. And now you have these people, they’re having crying sessions, they’re giving them comfort dogs, they’re giving them group therapy, they’re giving them consolation, because they’re so upset that Hillary Clinton lost the election.”

I don’t think King understands the concept of the anti-Trump protests, as he seems to think they are about declaring former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the winner and not Trump. He said:

“I think it’s really unfortunate. We do have elections for a purpose, and nobody’s contesting the fact Donald Trump won it honestly. In that case he should be supported. That’s part of the way the system works.”

Trump may have won the Electoral College, but he did not win the popular vote and these college students want that to be known. Scream he’s “not my president” all you want, because I could only imagine the reactions from that side if Trump lost.
