John McCain Bucks GOP Leadership, Issues Terrifying Warning To America (DETAILS)

Donald Trump hasn’t even taken office yet, but Sen. John McCain is issuing a frightening warning to the GOP leadership and their supposed ties to Russia and their president, Vladimir Putin. McCain, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2008 against Barack Obama, has had a testy relationship with Trump already. This could make it even worse!

In his statement, McCain never mentions Trump’s name, but he talks about the President of the United States getting too friendly with Russia. As we all know, Trump has praised Putin in the past. He has even talked about working with Russia to advance an international agenda.

McCain talked about Obama and his attempts to cool tensions with Russia. For McCain, he feels that has allowed Russia to exert more power in Syria and give help to Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

This lead to McCain talking about the current GOP leadership and their relations with Russia. He said:

“At the very least, the price of another ‘reset’ would be complicity in Putin and Assad’s butchery of the Syrian people. That is an unacceptable price for a great nation. When America has been at its greatest, it is when we have stood on the side of those fighting tyranny. That is where we must stand again.”

It looks like McCain is definitely not a fan of Putin. He said we need to stop listening to Putin and his conciliatory language. McCain described Putin as a:

“… Former KGB agent who has plunged his country into tyranny, murdered his political opponents, invaded his neighbors, threatened America’s allies, and attempted to undermine America’s elections.”

It is only a matter of time before we see if the GOP leadership listens. However, Trump already spoke to Putin on the phone since being elected. He may be playing both sides, as Trump also spoke with Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko, an opponent of Putin, this week.
