WATCH: Keith Olbermann Issues Powerful Call To Resist ‘President-Elect P***y Grabber’

Keith Olbermann explained why Republican President-elect Donald Trump’s own words about the popular vote should be a rallying cry for all of us to start resisting his presidency now.

In a GQ video, Olbermann began with his characteristic forthrightness:

“This evil is unfolding, like it or not. It can unfold and you can lie there or it can unfold and you can resist.”

The first step of resistance, Olbermann suggested, is not to sit back and give Trump a chance. Olbermann pointed to these post-election tweets as proof that Trump has already squandered his chance:

Yes, Trump did say more countries should acquire nuclear weapons. In fact, he said it multiple times during the campaign.

Olbermann let loose his searing commentary:

“…68 days until his inauguration – still bitching about his paranoid fantasies about the media. Still lying about what he said during the campaign. Still referring to himself in the third person. Still obsessing over one newspaper as if he were 15 and it had refused to go with him to the junior prom.

Give him a chance? What, in the hope that he will someday grow up enough to be able to see over the top of the Oval Office desk? We do not have time for the White House edition of Celebrity Apprentice starring President-elect P***y Grabber.”

Olbermann cited the fact that Hillary Clinton overwhelmingly won the popular vote as proof that Trump is not America’s president.

In other words, it’s yet another reason to resist.

Then, because no Democrat or Liberal leader has yet stepped forward to mount that resistance, Olbermann said he will start it. He promised to turn it over to anyone more legitimate.

Olbermann’s plan is to use Trump’s own words against him:

“The first step is to complete the delegitimizing of his presidency and his election. Who said the opinion polling is rigged? Who said the election, itself, was rigged? Who refused to say whether he would honor the outcome of that election? Why, the president-elect did.

[…]

I’ll take his word for it. The polling was rigged. The election was rigged. And he is not bound to honor the outcome of the vote and neither are we.”

Olbermann also noted that Trump was against the Electoral College when he mistakenly thought Democratic President Barack Obama had lost the popular vote in 2012.

In a series of since-deleted tweets, Trump even demanded a revolution in response.

One of Trump’s still-remaining 2012 tweets called the Electoral College “a disaster for a democracy”:

Olbermann concluded:

“A disaster for a democracy. Let’s fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice.

[…]

Whatever you wish, sir. You asked for it. Resist. Peace.”

There’s no getting around the fact that a Donald Trump presidency is almost too awful to contemplate. But having Olbermann on our side and in fighting mettle makes the prospect a shade or two brighter.
