Furious Right Wing Fringe Site: ‘Trump Lied And Lied And Lied’ About Promises

Caleb Howe, a journalist for the popular right wing fringe site Red State, recently published an op-ed which pretty much summed up President-elect Donald Trump’s long growing list of blatant and outlandish lies that have lead to the breaking of numerous promises.

Howe and Red State are known for their dislike of Trump but are still a conservative and predominantly Republican publication. The article starts out by discussing how Trump has gone back on his word again by deciding not to prosecute Hillary Clinton. Howe stated:

“The biggest recently is his total pass (sort of like a pardon) on prosecuting Hillary, despite absolutely vowing a special prosecutor. For some reason, he’s being given a pretty big pass on that by those who opposed him vehemently during the election. I am not so inclined to just let him off the hook because “that’s politics.””

Howe then goes on an “I told you so,” rant for nearly half of the article. Though it is nice to see the other side standing against Trump, did they ever stop to think that maybe the reason he is changing his mind on these issues and breaking so many promises is because he is now in a position to learn the absolute truth and not just what the media is telling him?

As President-elect, he is now made privy to some of the most classified information on the planet including issues such as the real scientific evidence behind global warming, the truth of what was in Clinton’s emails, and the realization that overturning cases like Roe vs. Wade aren’t as easy as a flick of his wand. Howe ranted a list of the issues that Trump has since switched his position on stating:

“Trump lied and lied and lied some more throughout the campaign. Must we go down the list again? He lied about Ted Cruz buying the rights to a nude Melania ad. He lied about what he said about the Iraq War. He lied about what he said about George W. Bush. He lied about Cruz having a Bible on the debate stage. He lied about how much money was spent on negative ads against him. He lied about charitable giving. He lied about why the convention was in Cleveland. He lied about endorsements. He lied about Tom Coburn. He was caught lying about Tom Coburn, and Coburn made a statement saying so, and Trump repeated the lie the very next night. That’s just a fraction of the total.”

Trump supporters refused to acknowledge his blatant lies through Trump’s entire election platform and didn’t think for a second that those lies would turn on them. It’s kind of like dating a man that left his wife for you and then being surprised when he leaves you for another woman. This time the cheating is on the Republican party while his initial rhetoric is still inciting case after case of racist, sexist, homophobic crimes across the nation.

So basically what we are going to have on our hands are angry bigots rampaging through the country blaming Trump’s inability to keep his word on the left and showing their anger through violence.

Some people would think that Trump going back on a lot of his promises would be a great thing for the other side, and though policy-wise it is a small relief, the truth of the matter is he is enraging his crazy followers even more.
