Seems there’s a mystery brewing with the Twitter account of the restaurant chain IHOP. Take a look at this tweet which went out from IHOP’s corporate account on Sunday:

In all fairness to IHOP, they are alleging their account was hacked, but that didn’t keep them from reaping a whirlwind of derision on social media, where lots of people were in no mood to be fed a short stack of what they thought were lies:
.@IHOP Was it really a hack? Or did whoever runs your account just RT Pooja? It seems odd to hack IHOP just to RT @poojaslays

While it’s unclear if this incident will have any effect on sales at IHOP, one thing is certain: I’m suddenly very very hungry for some pancakes!
