Across the country, thousands of undocumented immigrants are being detained and will soon be deported if the Trump administration has its way. Many of these people have family in this country and connections to their communities, but Trump and his henchmen have declared them a threat to public safety.
Wednesday morning, Pope Francis, in an apparent response to the actions being taken by the new regime in Washington, tweeted out this:
Jesus entrusted to Peter the keys to open the entrance to the kingdom of heaven, and not to close it.

From the reaction on social media, you would have thought the Pope had just suggested we all go break the Ten Commandments in the next hour. Take a look at the hypocrisy that came from so-called Christians:
so Heaven has a wall, a gate, and a vetting process. And would I be able to walk into your house?

So, it is ok for heaven to have a gate, but not the US? Why don't you take down your wall and security at the Vatican? #PlankInEye

… You wouldn't allow uninvited people in your own home. GOD did close the doors to the banquet after the guests welcomed came.

You need to go re-read the sermon on the mount.

I have a couple of verses these hateful and ungodly people who think they’re worthy to lecture the Pope should read: Matthew 7:12 and Luke 6:31:
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
