Insecure Man Trolls Woman On Women’s Day Proving Why Women Still Need To March (Social Media)

While women everywhere celebrated International Women’s Day, it was inevitable that the opposition would be trolling as usual. An anti-woman hashtag created by women began circulating. The women using it tried to discredit the Day Without Women and its protests on International Women’s Day by saying that they go to work, and are superior for doing so.

One woman supportive of the protests took to Facebook to post her opinion. The following screenshots were taken from Facebook.

Within minutes of posting this on her personal page, along came a little troll who tried – and failed – to mansplain his warped opinion about how the Women’s Liberation Movement was the reason for all of America’s economic woes.

The woman attempted to educate the man by teaching him about Reaganomics and giving him a lesson in women’s history. She told him that women fought for equal rights in order to escape oppression, abuse of all kinds, and objectification.

For some odd reason, this man took her explanation as an attack on his fragile masculinity.

Nevertheless, she persisted. She complimented her argument with a meme. This brought on even more opposition.

The man continued to respond as if his male privilege was being threatened. He disputed that women are a protected minority group. He began trying to belittle her by calling her little pet names.

She tried supporting the facts with multiple sources. One such resource was racism.org, which was quickly declared to be “alt facts.”

She even pointed out that women were technically numerical minorities in America, too.

This woman’s encounter with this very sensitive man is significant. He chose to confront her on her own page. He was a stranger to her, which means that he likely found her through the hashtag. His very tender insecurities drew him to actively seek out a strong feminist post in order to push his hyper-masculine ideology and somehow win back some control. This aggressive behavior is a prime example why women still have to march. His behavior is classic when a man feels inferior to a woman. It is why some women create anti-woman hash tags and fight in opposition of their own benefit. One can only hope that if this man has offspring, that they have strong women in their lives to teach them to break the cycle.
