President Donald Trump proves to Americans that he is a master at the “art of the fail” by pulling the bill that would repeal Obamacare, and replacing it with Trump’s version of “healthcare.” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) reportedly pleaded with Trump to pull the bill. Ryan may have wanted to avoid watching it play out in public and exposing just how little support this bill had.

Some outlets are reporting a 17 percent approval for this disastrous bill. This bill is so unpopular that Republicans in the House could not even muster enough support from other Republicans.

The Washington Examiner reports:

“The decision to pull the American Health Care Act off the House floor was a concession that they don’t have the votes for the controversial bill. Recent changes outlined on Thursday night and an ultimatum from Trump weren’t enough to sway wary moderates and far-right conservatives to support the package.”

During a press conference, Ryan stated that they were close to enough votes to get the bill passed but there were still a few Republican hold outs. He then began to shift the focus to tax reform. The press asked Ryan if the failed healthcare bill would impact the tax reform. Ryan admitted it would.

Soon after Ryan’s press shame-fest, Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi took to the podium to declare a victory for Obamacare and the 24 million Americans who benefit from it. At the same time, Trump is blaming Democrats and predicting that Democrats will be begging for a deal when Obamacare collapses.

Trump opened his statement by whining about zero Democratic support for Trumpcare. He repeatedly attempted to deflect. He stated that Obamacare is the Democrats’ bill and urging viewers to remember that. He called Democrats uncivilized for not working with his inevitable death sentence for innocent Americans. He claims that he does not blame Republicans for the failure.

Again, this is probably in order to avoid exposing the deep divide within the Republican Party.

Trump also stated that he is now focused on tax cuts, and finished his statement with yet another lie. He said that he never said that he would repeal and replace Obamacare within his first 60 days. In fact, what he repeatedly screamed throughout his campaign was that he would repeal and replace Obamacare “on day one.”

However Trump tries to spin it, this was a huge victory for Democrats. This is also the latest in an ongoing series of failures from Trump’s failed presidency. Trump’s ego just keeps taking hits.

One wonders how it must feel to be exposed for the loser he really is. Sad!

Congratulations to those fighting for the future of our country. Let this be proof that being the minority party in Washington does not mean that we lose all power. The power is in the people. Keep fighting, and #Resist.
